Diaspora Shepherd™ exists to ensure that geography never breaks discipleship. We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment for all users.

Expected Behavior

• Treat all individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion
• Communicate in a professional and appropriate manner
• Honor consent and privacy at all times
• Act with integrity and transparency in all interactions
• Prioritize the spiritual wellbeing of travelers
• Respond promptly to connection requests when possible
• Report concerns or suspicious activity immediately

Unacceptable Behavior

• Harassment, intimidation, or inappropriate contact of any kind
• Misrepresentation of identity, credentials, or church affiliation
• Sharing personal information without explicit consent
• Commercial solicitation or promotional activities
• Any form of discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or denomination
• Attempting to bypass verification or security measures
• Using the platform for non-spiritual purposes

Safeguarding Principles

All leaders and churches must adhere to safeguarding best practices:

• Never pressure individuals to attend specific churches
• Respect boundaries and personal autonomy
• Maintain appropriate boundaries in all communications
• Follow up with care, not control
• Report any safeguarding concerns to platform administrators

Verification Requirements

All churches and leaders must complete verification before platform access. This includes providing accurate information, verifiable church affiliation, and accepting this Code of Conduct.

Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously and may result in:

• Warning and mandatory review of conduct expectations
• Temporary suspension of platform access
• Permanent ban from the platform
• Reporting to relevant authorities if illegal activity is suspected

Reporting Concerns

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to safety@diasporashepherd.org. All reports are treated confidentially and investigated promptly.
